Small Business IdeasSmall Business Ideas Recently I have been asked by different people how did I know what small business to go into. I have told them all that it is hard to say what "gave us the idea" and that it was generally an opportunity that "just came up" through various ways.One time a security colleague mentioned to my business partner that they were finding it hard to get good patrol and guard providers and we were at a point where we were looking for something new to do. Another time, we found a service station business for sale in our local paper, talked to the owner and it went from there. I think that because we were open to business ideas as they came to us we found the opportunity in them. But you need to be on the lookout for the ideas and opportunities as they present themselves.
Passion v What you are good atI think before seriously considering going into a small business you need to think about what you love to do -- your passion.So many people go into business because they are good at what they do in their job and they know that they can do it better than their boss. I don't think this is the best way to get a start up business idea.
